BREAKING-ICYMI: LSU’s Kim Mulkey Receives Big Transfer Portal Announcement
The LSU women’s basketball team continues to be active in the transfer portal following their NCAA Tournament exit. The Tigers were eliminated in the Elite Eight by UCLA after securing wins over NC State, Florida State, and San Diego State.
LSU was powered by standout WNBA draftee Aneesah Morrow and star guard Flau’jae Johnson, one of college basketball’s most recognizable names both on and off the court. With Morrow moving on, head coach Kim Mulkey has been focused on reshaping the roster. On Tuesday, she made a big move by landing East Carolina transfer Amiya Joyner, according to Talia Goodman.

Joyner has been a standout over the past three seasons in college basketball. She posted averages of 15.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game last season with the Pirates. Over her three-year career at East Carolina, she averaged 12.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game.
Now at LSU, she’s expected to team up with Johnson to form one of the top duos in the women’s game. However, there’s ongoing speculation about Johnson possibly entering the transfer portal, though no official decision has been made.
