The Wisconsin Badgers are continuing their search for a wide receiver from the transfer portal and are set to host West Georgia’s Karmello English on a visit to Madison this Monday, according to his agency and reported by Rivals.
English, a former four-star recruit from the 2023 class, had a strong season at West Georgia, hauling in 48 catches for 693 yards and two touchdowns.
He began his college career at Michigan, where he appeared in six games as a freshman and recorded one catch for four yards and a touchdown in 2023. After transferring to West Georgia last offseason, he enjoyed a breakout year before entering the portal again.
At 6-foot, 182 pounds, English would bolster a Wisconsin receiving corps that recently lost Mark Hamper and Quincy Burroughs to the portal.
The Badgers currently have eight scholarship receivers and have been exploring transfer options, with English being the first confirmed visitor for next week.
He has two years of eligibility remaining.
