After averaging 17.9 points per game in his sophomore season with the California Golden Bears, 6-foot-7 wing Andrej Stojakovic has entered the NCAA transfer portal for the second time in his college career.

The former Stanford signee and son of NBA All-Star Peja Stojakovic entered the portal with a “Do Not Contact” label — a typical indication that he likely already knows where he’s headed next.

In 29 games at Cal, Stojakovic led the team in scoring while also contributing 4.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game, attracting interest from several top-tier college basketball programs.

Among those reportedly in the mix is Duke. While no official announcement has been made, multiple reports have identified the Blue Devils as one of the frontrunners to land the talented wing.

Fans have started weighing in online, with one noting, “Looks like either Duke or Kentucky. Programs that actually spend,” and another simply saying, “I’d love this get.” @JLuc610 posted, “Pay that man whatever it takes #duke,” while @Sterls10k added, “Duke might be a good fit for him.” Even fans from other schools joined the conversation, including a UNC supporter asking, “Smh what are UNC doing geez,” and an Illinois fan chiming in with, “Illinois.”

For Duke, bringing in an experienced scorer like Stojakovic would address a pressing need for both offensive output and veteran presence.

With star freshman Cooper Flagg expected to declare for the NBA Draft and projected as the No. 1 pick in 2025, and fellow standout Kon Knueppel also turning pro, the Blue Devils are losing key contributors. Veterans Mason Gillis and Sion James have graduated, and the program took another hit when five-star recruit Shelton Henderson recently decommitted.

Should Stojakovic choose Duke, it would mark a reunion with a player the program has long been interested in — and offer a much-needed scoring boost to a retooling roster.
