Texas Longhorns wide receiver Isaiah Bond was frequently discussed in the lead-up to the 2025 NFL Draft. After transferring from Alabama to Texas in hopes of boosting his draft stock, Bond’s journey took a major turn. Off-the-field issues, specifically a warrant related to sexual assault allegations that led to him turning himself in to Frisco, Texas police, caused NFL teams to pass on him entirely. So far, no resolution has come from the case, and Bond remains unsigned as an undrafted free agent.
Bond’s earlier comments about his transfer from Alabama have resurfaced in light of him going undrafted. At the time, he explained, “Just like the business world, you make the best decision for your company. My company right now is my draft stock. I feel like I’m putting myself in position to increase that and have better draft stock.” BamaHammer highlighted this on X, posting, “Isaiah Bond told ESPN a year ago that he was leaving Alabama to improve his draft stock. He went undrafted.”
During the 2024 season at Texas, Bond recorded 34 receptions for 540 yards and five touchdowns. Before the legal issues emerged, he was projected to be an early-round pick.
As of now, Bond’s future remains uncertain, with NFL teams waiting for more clarity regarding his legal situation.
