The Auburn football coaching staff remains aggressive on the recruiting trail following spring practices, recently securing an official visit from one of the top quarterbacks in the 2026 class.
Four-star prospect Landon Duckworth, from Jackson, Alabama, is ranked No. 6 among quarterbacks and No. 5 overall in the state. Last season, he led his team to a 4A state championship, passing for 3,439 yards and 39 touchdowns while adding 648 rushing yards and 12 more scores on the ground. A multi-sport athlete, Duckworth also competes in basketball and track.

According to 247 Sports, Duckworth has scheduled five official visits this summer: Auburn on May 16, Georgia on May 30, South Carolina on June 6, Florida State on June 13, and Ole Miss on June 20.

Duckworth initially committed to South Carolina on August 5, 2023, but decommitted nearly a year later on June 25, 2024. Despite that, the Gamecocks remain heavily involved in his recruitment, and Duckworth visited Columbia earlier this month to attend a spring practice. For now, South Carolina appears to be the frontrunner for his commitment.
As it stands, Auburn’s 2026 recruiting class includes seven commits and is ranked No. 23 nationally, though the Tigers are still searching for their future quarterback.
