Bills quarterback Josh Allen has long been recognized as one of the elite signal-callers in the NFL, and as long as he’s leading the offense, Buffalo enters each season with Super Bowl aspirations. However, the Kansas City Chiefs have consistently been his stumbling block in the postseason. Now, it appears Allen might be throwing some shade at one of their key players.
Josh Allen isn’t taking a page out of Travis Kelce’s playbook when it comes to balancing fame and football.
According to the Daily Mail, a source close to the Bills quarterback says Allen is keeping his relationship with actress Hailee Steinfeld low-key, prioritizing his NFL career over the spotlight. Unlike Kelce and Taylor Swift, who’ve been highly visible as a couple, Allen and Steinfeld won’t be making many public appearances together.
“Other than showing up to support her at a premiere or event, Josh and Hailee don’t plan on being seen out and about much,” the source said. “Josh is focused on winning a Super Bowl—that’s the priority. Everything else takes a backseat. A Super Bowl win would elevate his fame significantly, though he doesn’t expect it to reach the level of Travis and Taylor’s, partly because Taylor’s global popularity is on another level. Plus, Travis is nearing the end of his career, while Josh still has a long runway ahead.”
The source also shares that Josh Allen intends to stay largely behind the scenes when it comes to anything that might elevate his celebrity status through his relationship with Hailee Steinfeld.
“Josh is going to remain mostly on the sidelines for things that would raise his profile because of Hailee,” the insider explains. They go on to say that Allen is in a unique position: “He’s one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL, making a huge salary, and playing for a strong franchise.”
“His ultimate goal is to win multiple Super Bowls and solidify himself as one of the all-time greats,” they add. “That alone brings a certain level of fame. But pairing that with a relationship involving a Hollywood star can accelerate things quickly. Josh would rather keep things more low-key and let his play do the talking.”
