WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue head coach Matt Painter and assistant PJ Thompson are already making moves in the 2027 recruiting cycle, recently offering a scholarship to four-star point guard Kevin Savage from Marietta, Georgia.

The 5-foot-11 guard announced the offer via social media. Savage recently competed with Game Elite during the first 3SSB session in Texas, where he averaged 8.3 points, 2.8 assists, and 1.8 rebounds over four games, helping his team to a perfect 4-0 record.
“Beyond blessed to receive an offer from Purdue,” Savage posted. “Thank you Coach Matt Painter & Coach PJ Thompson.”

According to 247Sports, Savage is ranked No. 46 nationally in the 2027 class and holds a four-star rating. He’s already received offers from nine other programs, including Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn, Cincinnati, Florida State, George Mason, Hampton, Ole Miss, and UCF.

Known for his sharp shooting from beyond the arc and ability to beat defenders off the dribble, Savage compensates for his smaller frame with agility and quickness.

With the addition of Savage, Purdue has now offered scholarships to three prospects in the 2027 class.
