Might Chase Claypool’s next destination be the CFL in Canada?
After being a second-round pick for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chase Claypool is currently a free agent without a team.

However, the Saskatchewan Roughriders have shown interest in recruiting him, as reported by 3downnation.com. The CFL team has included Claypool on their exclusive negotiation list, which allows them the rights to negotiate with him if he decides to join the league.

It’s important to note that being on this list doesn’t guarantee a deal with Saskatchewan, and players can be added or removed from it at any time.

For Claypool, who was born in Abbotsford, British Columbia, joining the Roughriders would be somewhat of a homecoming. In 2023, he had stints with the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins, finishing the season with eight receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown.

While he had an impressive rookie season in 2020 with 62 receptions for 873 yards and nine touchdowns, his production has decreased since then, with only four touchdowns scored thereafter.
