BREAKING NEWS: Montreal Alouettes Signed Contract With Broker
On April 18, 2024, the Montreal Alouettes organization revealed a new collaboration with broker Mélissa Fecteau from Engel & Volkers. Mélissa, who is married to Alexandre Gagné, the team’s linebacker and 2023 Grey Cup winner, is a mother of two boys with eight years of experience in real estate.
Under this partnership, Mélissa will support the Alouettes Foundation and create content featuring players to highlight Montreal neighborhoods. Additionally, she will aid players and staff in finding homes. Mélissa’s journey began at 19 when she co-owned a taxi company, sparking her interest in entrepreneurship. She then ventured into owning multi-unit residential properties, gaining valuable insights into the real estate market, which she actively engages with.
Mélissa also led a student-athlete mentoring program at the University of Sherbrooke, mentoring football players and reinforcing her commitment to community involvement.
Expressing her gratitude, Mélissa said, “Being associated with the Montreal Alouettes is an honor, especially given my longstanding involvement in football. I am thrilled to contribute to the Alouettes Foundation, which supports various community causes, filling me with pride.”
Hugo Bernier, Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships at the Montreal Alouettes, emphasized the natural connection between the team and Mélissa due to her history of assisting young athletes. He highlighted the collaboration as a significant example of the team’s commitment to community engagement.
