Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt and wide receiver Jordyn Tyson are gaining national attention ahead of the 2025 season.
247Sports analyst Brandon Crawford recently recognized Leavitt and Tyson as the top quarterback-wide receiver duo in the country heading into the fall, praising their strong chemistry, explosive playmaking, and seamless fit in head coach Kenny Dillingham’s offensive scheme.
Leavitt, a Michigan State transfer, was instrumental in ASU’s success during the 2024 campaign, throwing for 2,885 yards and 24 touchdowns. His mobility and calm under pressure helped power the Sun Devils’ up-tempo offense.

Tyson, who joined ASU from Colorado after the 2023 season, rebounded from injury to become the team’s leading receiver with 1,101 yards and 10 touchdowns on 75 receptions. He topped 100 yards in five games, including a standout 12-catch, 176-yard outing against Kansas State. His rapport with Leavitt emerged as one of the most dangerous combinations in the Big 12.

As the Sun Devils gear up for their second year in the Big 12, they carry momentum and rising expectations. Dillingham has tailored the offense around Leavitt’s dynamic skill set and Tyson’s big-play ability, with hopes of a stronger postseason run in 2025.
