As expected, LSU baseball will host an NCAA regional at Alex Box Stadium next weekend, the NCAA announced Sunday.
The Tigers are one of several SEC teams chosen to host, joining Auburn, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Texas, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Arkansas. Other regional hosts include Coastal Carolina, North Carolina, Oregon, Oregon State, Florida State, Southern Miss, UCLA, and Clemson.

This marks the 28th time in program history that LSU will host a regional and the ninth time since 2012. It’s also the second time LSU has hosted a regional under head coach Jay Johnson, the last being in 2023—the same year the Tigers captured the national title.
LSU will find out its seed and regional opponents during Monday’s NCAA Tournament selection show, which airs at 11 a.m. on ESPN2.
