Although she’s only 18 games into her WNBA career, Dallas Wings rookie Paige Bueckers is already making her mark as one of the league’s standout players.

The 23-year-old guard ranks among the WNBA’s top 10 in multiple categories: fourth in minutes played (34.9 per game), fifth in field goals made (6.8), seventh in assists (5.5), and eighth in scoring (18.4 points). So it came as no surprise that she earned her first All-Star selection in her debut season.

Chosen by captain Napheesa Collier to play for Team Collier, Bueckers delivered a memorable All-Star Game performance that etched her name into the history books. The former UConn star tallied six points, eight assists, and two rebounds in 22 minutes — setting a new WNBA/NBA All-Star record for most assists without a turnover by a rookie, according to Polymarket Hoops.

But that wasn’t her only historic moment.

Just 28 seconds into the game, Bueckers drained the first-ever four-point shot in WNBA All-Star Game history — and did it on her very first attempt.

Despite the Wings’ 6-17 record, Bueckers has been a lone bright spot. She leads the team in scoring, assists, minutes, and steals (1.7 per game). Among WNBA rookies, she ranks first in total points, assists, and made field goals (123), second in steals (31), third in blocks (13), and sixth in rebounds.

None of this is shocking to those who followed her collegiate career. At UConn from 2020 to 2025 — with one season missed due to a torn ACL — Bueckers averaged 19.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 2.1 steals, and 0.8 blocks across 123 games.
