The Texas Rangers have released an official list of those lost in the July 4 flood in Kerr County.
The list identifies 117 people who died and two who are still missing.
In a joint statement, Kerrville Mayor Joe Herring and Kerr County Judge Rob Kelly said these names are deeply familiar to their community — they are family, friends, and neighbors. They also expressed gratitude to first responders and all who continue to aid in the recovery.

Relief efforts are still receiving support. This Saturday, the San Antonio Missions will face the Springfield Cardinals at Wolff Stadium in a game benefiting flood recovery. One of the team’s well-known owners, former Spurs star and Hall of Famer Manu Ginobili, will throw the first pitch at 7:05 p.m.

The window to apply for federal assistance is closing soon. Homeowners, renters, and businesses impacted by the July flooding have until Sept. 4 to seek FEMA disaster aid. Grants can be used for temporary housing, medical or dental costs, and funeral or reburial expenses. That date is also the deadline to apply for a U.S. Small Business Administration physical disaster loan. Applications are available at DisasterAssistance.gov.

FEMA is also providing case managers to assist survivors with free legal advice and insurance concerns. The State Bar of Texas runs the legal services program, offering 24/7 support at 800-504-7030. If no one answers, callers can leave a message.
Case managers can assess home damage, help find temporary housing, explain FEMA programs, and coordinate with insurance companies, adjusters, and utility providers. FEMA’s main hotline, 800-621-3362, is available daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
