BREAKING: Dolphins WR announce retirement from NFL
Albert Wilson announced his retirement from the NFL via Instagram on Friday, concluding a seven-season career in the league. Despite going undrafted, the former Georgia State standout enjoyed stints with the Kansas City Chiefs for four seasons before joining the Miami Dolphins on a three-year contract.

Expressing gratitude towards the Miami Dolphins organization, Wilson credited them with transforming his family’s life and affording him the opportunity to play in his home state, where he could inspire his community, family, and friends. During his time with the Dolphins, he appeared in 34 games, achieving a career-best of four touchdowns in 2018 and maintaining an average of 15 yards per reception. Notably, he displayed his versatility by throwing a 52-yard touchdown pass to Jakeem Grant against the Raiders.
In total, Wilson amassed 89 appearances with 38 starts for both the Chiefs and Dolphins, accumulating 218 receptions for 2,499 yards and 12 touchdowns. Additionally, he showcased his versatility by rushing for an average of six yards per carry on 27 attempts.

Following the conclusion of his three-year contract with the Dolphins in 2021, Wilson joined the Minnesota Vikings in June 2022. Although he spent time with the Las Vegas Raiders during the 2022 season, he did not register a catch.
In his retirement announcement, Wilson expressed gratitude towards his coaches and teammates, acknowledging the invaluable bonds and lasting friendships forged throughout his career. He credited them for contributing to his growth as both a man and an athlete.
