Hanford (Calif.) running back Kourdey Glass has committed to Oregon State after his official visit to Corvallis over the weekend. He made his commitment to the Beavers on Monday.

### WHAT KOURDEY GLASS SAYS ABOUT OREGON STATE

“I chose Oregon State because of their strong sense of family, which is very important to me. They focus heavily on development and patience, rather than rushing things.”

“I knew it was the right place during a meeting with Coach (Thomas) Ford. I told him I was coming, and he was really excited. Informing Coach (Trent) Bray was a huge relief. The coaches are a big reason for my decision—they create a family atmosphere and many of them are from the area or are alumni, which is cool.”

“My grandfather and uncle accompanied me, and they said, ‘time to go to work,’ but they’re happy for me.”

“The distance from home is perfect—it’s not too far, but not too close.”

“I’ll be trying to recruit some big guys to come and block for me.”

WHO ELSE WAS IN THE MIX

Glass received offers from over ten schools, including Arizona, Colorado State, Fresno State, Nevada, Sacramento State, San Diego State, San Jose State, Utah State, Washington State, and Wyoming.

WHERE KOURDEY GLASS RANKS AS A RECRUIT

Glass is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports. He is ranked as the No. 79 running back nationally and the No. 96 recruit in California for the class of 2025.

HOW KOURDEY GLASS FITS WITH OREGON STATE

Glass’ commitment comes at a crucial time for the Beavers, who are looking to add a couple of running backs in this class. Although they lost their starting running back to the NCAA Transfer Portal, they’ve recruited well at the position in recent years. However, transfers have significantly impacted their depth, so they’re focused on heavily restocking the running back room. Coach Ford managed to secure his top running back target from the start with Glass’ commitment.

WHAT WE THINK ABOUT KOURDEY GLASS

Glass is a well-built, chiseled two-sport athlete, excelling in both football and basketball, though football is his primary focus at the college level. As one of the top running backs in his area, he has been highly productive over the past two years. Glass is versatile, able to play in the slot and demonstrating natural pass-catching abilities. This versatility makes him a valuable every-down back who can adapt to any situation. He is more quick than fast, with a decisive running style that allows him to get downhill quickly. Glass runs hard with a physical edge, maintaining good contact balance and showing an innate understanding of the position.
