After securing a commitment from Keelon Russell following last week’s recruiting visits, Kalen DeBoer and his staff returned to work. Once again, the Tide hosted a large group of 2025 and 2026 recruits, who attended camp with the following key storylines emerging:

While the Alabama Football team secured a major commitment from four-star defensive back Chuck McDonald, who returned to campus to make his pledge, they also hosted two high-priority defensive backs. The Tide welcomed Ohio State commit Na’eem Offord, a five-star recruit and the top player in Alabama as well as the nation’s 8th-ranked player. Despite Offord’s apparent commitment to Ohio State, the Crimson Tide managed to get him on campus twice in one week, and with the efforts of the staff and Ryan Williams, Alabama may still have a chance.

Additionally, the Tide hosted four-star Notre Dame commit Ivan Taylor, as Maurice Linguist attempts to flip another talented defensive back. Taylor, ranked as the 13th-best safety and the 120th-best player in his class by On3, has been committed to Notre Dame since December 2023. His visit to Alabama surprised many at Notre Dame, making Taylor a key player to watch in the coming month.
