BREAKING: Alabama Lands Another Star Commits
Jackson Lloyd, standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 290 pounds, boasts nearly 20 offers and can essentially choose his preferred school as a recruit.
Even after Nick Saban’s tenure, it’s no shock that he’s committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Although head coach Kalen DeBoer hasn’t coached a single game for Alabama yet, he’s already making significant strides in recruiting, seamlessly continuing Saban’s legacy.
Lloyd, ranked as the No. 16 offensive tackle in the 2025 class by 247Sports, announced his commitment to Alabama on Tuesday. His reason? The enduring winning culture established by Saban and now upheld by DeBoer.
“What stood out most at Alabama was their winning culture and doing everything to be the best,” Lloyd told 247Sports.

DeBoer and his staff’s recruitment of Lloyd began during their tenure at Washington, which also played a role in his decision.
“The facilities were incredible, they have seemingly thought of everything. You can definitely tell that the University of Alabama loves their football program and invests heavily into them,” Lloyd explained. “Alabama is like the best there is. I love the coaching staff. the whole coaching staff, I have been talking to them since Washington. I just love them. All the stuff they have there, like I said, it’s like the best there is.”
