Brandon Gignac signs two-year, two-way deal with Canadiens
Forward Brandon Gignac, a native of Repentigny, has recently inked a two-year, two-way contract with the Montreal Canadiens. Throughout his professional career since the 2016-17 season, he has accumulated 55 goals and 99 assists in 267 AHL games with Albany, Binghamton, and Laval.
Gignac, who joined the Canadiens organization in 2021, showcased his prowess with the AHL’s Laval Rocket this season, leading the team with 14 goals, 28 assists, and 36 penalty minutes in 43 games. Despite being selected by the New Jersey Devils in 2016, he only played one game with them in the 2018-19 season, failing to register a point.
