Paul Kasabian of Bleacher Report clarified that Keisean Nixon’s comments about Deebo Samuel being “annoying” were meant in a lighthearted and personal manner rather than as an insult.

The 49ers beat the Packers 24-21 in the NFC Divisional round last year, but San Francisco is scheduled to face Green Bay in a much-anticipated rematch on November 24 this season.

Nixon, who recently mentioned that the Packers “let the 49ers off the hook,” noted that he’s been “hearing it” from Samuel and 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoir “all summer.”

“Deebo’s annoying,” Nixon said with a smile, adding: “He likes FaceTime. He likes to talk crazy in your face.”

Despite the banter, there is no bad blood between the two, as Nixon clarified that he and Samuel are close friends. Samuel echoed this sentiment on social media, adding that he is also eagerly anticipating Week 12.
