BREAKING: YANKEES TRADE TOP RATED STAR
Back in 2022, Toronto Blue Jays’ All-Star first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. declared that he could never play for the New York Yankees. However, by 2024, it appears Guerrero has reconsidered his stance.
If I get trade to #Yankees I will do my job and try to help that team or any team to win. I’m a professional and love this game #VladimirGuerreroJr told Omar from Virus Deportivo pic.twitter.com/5rQ5a6APzr

The Blue Jays have struggled in the first half of the 2024 MLB season, sitting at the bottom of the AL East with a 35-43 record. Many analysts view them as potential sellers as the trade deadline approaches, with Guerrero being their most valuable asset.
In contrast, the Yankees are having a strong season, leading the division with a 52-28 record. Despite this success, they recently lost first baseman Anthony Rizzo to injury for at least four weeks and are reportedly exploring several trade options, including Guerrero.
When asked about the possibility of being traded to the Yankees during a recent interview with Virus Deportivo, Guerrero did not dismiss the idea as he once would have.
“Sometimes one says things. It’s not that I’m trying to take back what I said about the Yankees,” Guerrero explained. “But this is a business. I sat down and spoke with my dad [Vladimir Guerrero Sr.] and my family, and this is a business. And I said I would never again talk about this topic and lots of people have asked me about it.”
Guerrero added that he would be “happy to help any team” that acquires him but remains committed to the Blue Jays for now.
It’s important to note that the Blue Jays have been steadfast in their decision not to trade Guerrero. The 2021 MLB home run leader is under Toronto’s control through next season, but the two sides have yet to engage in meaningful extension negotiations.
In 2024, Guerrero has maintained a batting average of .286, with 10 home runs and 35 RBIs.
