NEWS NOW: Oregon State Beavers Football confirm a huge commitment
Oregon State continued their successful recruiting streak on Thursday by securing a commitment from Lewisville (TX) safety Zephen Walker, who chose them over Arkansas State and Coastal Carolina.
Walker recently completed an official visit to Corvallis and was impressed by his experience on campus.
“The visit was fantastic; I loved the environment and the people,” Walker told BeaverBlitz. “The coaching staff and players welcomed me like I was already part of their family, and I really appreciated that.”
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound defensive back recorded 50 tackles and two interceptions during his junior year, which was his first season playing in that position.
Walker shared with BeaverBlitz, “The highlight of my visit was definitely spending time with the current Oregon State players,” mentioning that he was hosted by Noble Thomas and Zakaih Saez.
“It was a lot of fun; they reminded me of myself in many ways.”
Walker is the second recruit from Texas in the class of 2025, joining fellow defensive back David Madison. He also joins Jesse Myers, Jeremiah Ioane, and Sean Craig as defensive commits.
