BREAKING: Alabama lands another top rated key man from All-America list
On Monday, four Alabama players were named to the Walter Camp Football Foundation preseason All-America list. Guard Tyler Booker and kicker Graham Nicholson were selected for the first team, while center Parker Brailsford and punter James Burnip were chosen for the second team.
Booker, a junior, is expected to be an early-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Burnip is entering his fourth season as Alabama’s punter, and Nicholson (from Miami-Ohio) and Brailsford (from Washington) are both new transfers. Despite missing some time in the spring for non-football reasons, Brailsford is still with the team and is projected to be the starting center.
The Walter Camp Football Foundation is one of the five postseason All-America lists recognized by the NCAA, alongside the FWAA, AFCA, Associated Press, and Sporting News. The AP and Sporting News will release their preseason All-America lists in August.
In 2023, Alabama had no first-team Walter Camp postseason All-America selections, though Nicholson made the first team for Miami-Ohio. Alabama’s cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry, offensive tackle JC Latham, and outside linebacker Dallas Turner were named to the Walter Camp second team last season before being drafted into the NFL.
