Report: Edmonton Elks add another QB key man for top performers

TORONTO — The CFL’s honour roll for Week 4 featured standout performances from B.C. Lions quarterback Vernon Adams Jr., Toronto Argonauts defensive back Jonathan Edouard, and the Edmonton Elks’ offensive line.

Adams completed 27 of 38 passes for 331 yards and one touchdown without any interceptions in the Lions’ 24-21 victory over Edmonton on Thursday, earning him a player grade of 89.5.

In Toronto’s 30-20 loss to Montreal on Friday, Edouard recorded a defensive tackle, an interception, and a knockdown, achieving a rating of 90.2.

The Elks’ offensive line received a 66.4 rating for allowing just one sack and facilitating 98 rushing yards on 15 carries, averaging 6.5 yards per attempt, in their loss to B.C.

The CFL’s weekly honour roll, based on data compiled by sports analytics company PFF, recognizes top players in nine positions.
