Report: July top rated commitment for Oklahoma sooner
The Sooners are gaining a reputation for securing commitments during the summer months, and they’ve been successful so far in 2024.
June was a significant month for the Sooners, as they added several key players who are expected to make an immediate impact in the SEC. Offensively, they welcomed 2026 four-star TE Ryder Mix, 2025 four-star WR Marcus Harris, and 2025 three-star WR Emmanuel Choice. On defense, they brought in 2025 four-star EDGE CJ Nickson, a top in-state talent. Additionally, they added four preferred walk-ons: transfer QB Steele Wasel from Akron, 2024 three-star RB Gabe Sawchuck, 2024 S Devon Owen, and 2025 OL Sean Hutton.
As the Sooners move into July, they aim to maintain this momentum. They’ve already secured a commitment from four-star WR Cortez Mills, who committed on July 1. The next confirmed significant date is just around the corner as we kick off July.
