The Miami football program is among the finalists, alongside Florida State and LSU, for four-star cornerback Jaboree Antoine, who will announce his commitment on July 20. This announcement was first reported by Hayes Fawcett of On3.

Antoine, who initially announced on X that his commitment date would be coming soon, visited Miami officially on the weekend of May 31 and Florida State on the weekend of June 14. Following these visits, Antoine de-committed from LSU on June 23.

Ranked as the 71st overall prospect, eighth cornerback, and second player in Louisiana for the 2025 class out of New Iberia Westgate, Antoine would become the second-highest-ranked commit in Miami’s 2025 class, trailing only safety Hylton Stubbs. Currently, Miami’s 2025 class is ranked ninth in the 247Sports composite rankings.

Miami has already secured commitments from cornerbacks Chris Ewald and Timothy Merritt for the 2025 class, as well as safeties Stubbs and Amari Wallace. The Hurricanes will also learn on July 17 whether they will receive a commitment from five-star defensive back D.J. Pickett.

Antoine has developed a strong relationship with Miami secondary coach Chevis Jackson and defensive coordinator Lance Guidry, both of whom have Louisiana ties—Jackson played at LSU, and Guidry is from Louisiana. Antoine told Rivals, “The communication has been consistent. Coach (Chevis) Jackson and (Lance) Guidry are real straight-up with me.”

Despite one 247Sports crystal ball predicting Antoine to LSU and the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine giving LSU an 89.3 percent chance, reports suggest that Antoine’s recruitment remains open among Florida State, LSU, and Miami. With 11 days left until his announcement, the decision is still uncertain.

Miami has been active in the 2025 recruiting cycle, securing 11 commitments since Merritt’s commitment on June 8. The Hurricanes are in a strong position to sign a top-10 class for the third consecutive year.
