Nebraska landed a new commitment for its 2025 recruiting class on Sunday, adding a blue-chip lineman from North Dakota.

Kade Pietrzak, a standout from West Fargo High School, has pledged to play for Matt Rhule’s program. He announced the big news on social media.

Listed at 6-4 and 250 pounds, Pietrzak is rated as a 4-star prospect on the 247Sports Composite. He is the No. 1 player in North Dakota, the No. 35 defensive lineman, and the No. 321 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting class.

Pietrzak attracted interest from Power Five programs across the country, receiving scholarship offers from 27 schools before committing to Nebraska. Among those interested were Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Iowa, Miami, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Stanford, Texas A&M, USC, UCLA, and Washington.

Over the past two months, Pietrzak narrowed his focus, visiting Nebraska, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Kansas State in May and June.

During his visit to Lincoln, Pietrzak sported No. 55, giving Husker fans a preview of him in the team’s red and black jerseys.

With Pietrzak’s commitment, Nebraska now has 17 verbal commitments in its 2025 recruiting class. Pietrzak is the fourth Husker pledge of the month, joining 3-star safety Jeremiah Jones (July 1), 3-star offensive tackle Shawn Hammerbeck (July 3), and 4-star cornerback Bryson Webber (July 14).
