The Westlake (Ga.) offensive lineman, has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs and offensive line coach Stacy Searels.

This significant commitment for Georgia, both physically and figuratively, was finalized on Friday. Gaston, standing at 6-foot-7 and 345 pounds, is remarkably agile for his size, embodying the type of player Kirby Smart and Stacy Searels have sought for their “Great Wall of Georgia” over the past two years. Gaston, a top priority for Georgia, committed over Tennessee, Oregon, and South Carolina.

Gaston told Dawgs247 earlier this spring, “Just keep grinding, try to be the No. 1 lineman. There are other coaches like Coach Searels, Coach Coop, and Coach Smart sometimes. He’s just checking up on me, seeing how the fam’s doing. I get 1-on-1 time with him almost every time I’m up there, so that’s great. He’s a great head coach. He knows what he’s doing. He gets the team moving.”

Georgia prioritized Gaston early in his recruitment, inviting him to key junior days, game day visits, and other important recruiting weekends. Searels has consistently emphasized Gaston’s potential. Gaston said, “He says I’m a first-round pick. He said I can compete and be like all the other great offensive tackles that come through Georgia.”

Gaston’s most recent visit to Georgia, from May 31 to June 2, was his first official visit and proved pivotal. He expressed appreciation for Georgia’s facilities, coaches, and the bond he developed with Coach Searels and the team.

With Gaston’s commitment, Georgia now has four offensive linemen committed in the 2025 class, joining Dontrell Glover, Cortez Smith, and Mason Short. Gaston is Georgia’s 22nd commitment in the class, following Jadon Perlotte’s decommitment earlier in the week. This pledge brings Georgia’s overall team score to 289.00, moving them up to No. 3 in the team rankings ahead of LSU.

Gaston ranks as the nation’s No. 18 offensive tackle and the No. 169 overall prospect in the 247Sports recruiting rankings. He is the No. 25-ranked player in the state of Georgia for the 2025 class and a 4-star prospect.
