5-Star’s verbal commitment on Saturday at 4 p.m. capped what could be one of the most successful recruiting weeks in Kansas State football history.

The Wildcats began the week on Monday by securing their first-ever five-star recruit, tight end Linkon Cure from Goodland, Kansas. Then, on Thursday, RJ Collins, a defensive back and one of Missouri’s fastest high school sprinters, also pledged to K-State.

Elston, a 5’9″, 180-pound running back from Parkview High School in Little Rock, Arkansas, chose K-State over Arkansas, Missouri, Georgia Tech, and UNLV. Last season, he rushed for 847 yards and 10 touchdowns on 59 carries, and added 887 yards and 11 touchdowns on 60 receptions.
