DONE DEAL: Cowboys sign Pro Bowl DL to huge contract
The Dallas Cowboys are banking on Linval Joseph still having some fuel left in the tank. They’re bringing him on board with a 1-year contract that guarantees $2.5 million and could potentially reach $4 million, according to NFL Media.

The 35-year-old Joseph, who has spent 14 seasons in the NFL, earned Pro Bowl honors in 2016 and 2017 while playing for the Minnesota Vikings. Last season, he appeared in seven games for the Buffalo Bills, recording 12 tackles and one sack.
Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing nearly 330 pounds, Joseph’s size is a clear indication that the Cowboys are focused on enhancing their defensive line. They also recently acquired Jordan Phillips in a trade with the Giants; Phillips is even larger at 6-foot-6 and 340 pounds.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones mentioned that the team was aiming to bolster its group of nose tackles, and they’ve followed through on that promise.
