FUSS: Seminoles Five-Star Commit On The Verge of Flipping To Rivals
Texas has had an exciting week in recruiting, securing commitments from five-star safety Jonah Williams and five-star wide receiver Kaliq Lockett. Despite these successes, the Longhorns are continuing their pursuit of top-tier talent and may even attempt to flip a current Florida State commit. According to On3 Vice President Steve Wiltfong, Texas is still heavily targeting four-star defensive tackle Myron Charles, who is currently committed to the Seminoles. Wiltfong noted that a flip to the Longhorns wouldn’t be surprising, as Texas is “still going hard” after Charles.

Myron Charles is a highly-regarded prospect in the 2025 recruiting class, ranked by On3 as the 10th-best defensive lineman and the 110th overall player. Despite committing to Florida State in June, Texas continues to pursue him, recognizing his impressive athletic potential and versatility on the defensive line. His junior season stats underscore his impact, with 29 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and notable contributions in pass defense. Texas, currently holding the 7th-best recruiting class for 2025 according to 247Sports, is determined to further bolster their lineup with top talent like Charles.
