SAD NEWS JUST IN: Caitlin Clark confirm sad news for Indiana Fever just now
After their victory over the Dallas Wings on Sunday, the Indiana Fever enjoyed a two-day break before their next game on Wednesday, September 4, against the Los Angeles Sparks.
The Fever had maintained a clean injury report for their last two games, with all players available. However, that changed on Tuesday.
According to IndyStar Sports writer Chloe Peterson, forward Temi Fagbenle was listed as questionable for the game against Los Angeles due to a right shoulder injury. Fagbenle has dealt with several health issues throughout the 2024 WNBA season. She first suffered a foot injury on May 28, which sidelined her for a month. The former USC Trojans star made her return on June 27 against the Seattle Storm, but after just three games, she sustained another injury, this time to her thumb, resulting in additional missed time.
Temi Fagbenle seems to have suffered a third injury this season, as she is questionable for tomorrow’s game with a right shoulder injury.
A tough setback for Fagbenle, who has missed significant time already with a foot and thumb injury.

Fagbenle missed the remainder of July and two games in August following the Olympic break. She returned to action in the Fever’s loss to the Minnesota Lynx and has played in five games since. In total, Fagbenle has missed 16 games this season, which is exactly half of Indiana’s schedule. When she is available, she has been a significant contributor off the bench, averaging 6.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks in 19.3 minutes per game.
While the official decision on her availability for the game against the Sparks won’t be known until game day, it’s undoubtedly frustrating for Fagbenle to be back on the injury report. Hopefully, this setback won’t sideline her for long.
