BREAKING: Georgia receives bad news ahead of massive SEC matchup against Alabama
Georgia Bulldogs’ standout offensive guard Tate Ratledge will be out for four to six weeks due to a knee and ankle injury suffered during the team’s narrow 13-12 win over the Kentucky Wildcats. Ratledge went down in the second quarter and did not return for the remainder of the game. Further evaluation revealed he sustained a sprained MCL and a high-ankle sprain. Following Tuesday’s practice, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart confirmed that Ratledge underwent successful tightrope ankle surgery on Monday. In his senior season, Ratledge’s absence leaves a significant gap, with redshirt junior Micah Morris and sophomore Monroe Freeling expected to step in. This loss is especially tough for Georgia, as they prepare to face No. 4 Alabama next.
