5 Star WR visited Notre Dame earlier this year and the 2026 Texas receiver plans to see the Irish again soon.

The Aledo High School star has offers from numerous schools, including Notre Dame, Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia, Oregon, and UCLA, among others. He attended Texas A&M’s season opener against Notre Dame in College Station.

“It was a great visit,” Finley shared. Despite being there as a guest of the Aggies, he kept an eye on Notre Dame. “I thought their defense played really well. From that game, I believe they have a top-10 defense in the country. I also really liked their receiver, #5 (Beaux Collins), who I think could have a big season.”

Notre Dame’s subsequent loss to Northern Illinois didn’t greatly affect Finley’s view of the team. “It doesn’t change how I feel about them, since I talk to the coaches regularly. It was surprising to see them lose to NIU, but I’m confident they’ll bounce back.”

Finley had visited South Bend in April and has stayed in contact with the Irish coaching staff since then. He’s looking forward to returning for their game against Louisville on September 28th. “I’ve been talking a lot with Carter Auman and Coach Mike Brown. I’m excited to experience the gameday atmosphere and see the campus and stadium again.”

Coach Brown’s advice to Finley has been straightforward: “Just stay focused and grind. This is a big year for me, so I’m working to be the best I can be.”

Finley has other visits scheduled this fall as well. “I’ll be at Oklahoma in November, Texas for the Georgia game, and back at Texas A&M for the Missouri game.”

Notre Dame stands out to Finley despite being farther away geographically, something he credits to the staff. “When I visited in the spring, South Bend felt like home. I’ll keep my options open and see what fits best for me.”
