Jordan Love is nearing a return to the Green Bay Packers.

He sustained a knee injury during the Packers’ Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Originally, the recovery timeline was estimated at 3-4 weeks, and there were even discussions about him being close to playing last weekend.

On Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media provided an update on Love’s status, stating that the Packers quarterback is able to wear a brace and function well, and that Love is eager to get back on the field.

The Packers are preparing to host the undefeated 3-0 Vikings on Sunday. With backup quarterback Malik Willis leading the team to two consecutive wins, there’s likely less urgency for Jordan Love to rush back from injury.

Sunday will be exactly three weeks since Love’s knee injury, putting him close to being ready. However, the team may opt to give him a few more days of recovery.

Notably, Love did participate in practice on Wednesday.
