BREAKING: Paul Finebaum Predicts Top Five College Football Team Will be Upset in Week 5 with shocking revelations
The Georgia Bulldogs have been a powerhouse in college football since the early 2020s, but they’ve struggled to consistently beat the Alabama Crimson Tide. Despite securing back-to-back national titles in 2021 and 2022, Georgia has only managed one victory against Alabama since 2008. That win came in the 2022 national championship after a loss to Alabama in the SEC Championship just a month prior. Alabama dashed Georgia’s hopes for a three-peat last season with a 27-24 victory in the SEC Championship. Now, the two teams are set for their first regular-season clash since 2020.
On the “Paul Finebaum Show,” SEC analyst Paul Finebaum predicted that Alabama will once again defeat Georgia. “I’m definitely leaning toward Alabama,” Finebaum said. “I’m not backing down from that and probably won’t change my mind. I don’t see why I would.”
One key difference for Georgia this time is that legendary Alabama coach Nick Saban is no longer on the sidelines. Instead, this will be Kalen DeBoer’s first test against the Crimson Tide.
Both teams have had their ups and downs this season. Georgia started strong with a convincing win over Clemson but narrowly escaped Kentucky. Alabama dominated Wisconsin, but they struggled for most of their game against South Florida. Both teams rank in the top 15 in total defense, though Alabama has the edge offensively, ranking 24th in the nation compared to Georgia’s 65th. The showdown between the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide will take place in Tuscaloosa, airing on ABC at 7:30 p.m. ET.
