IRISH UP: Notre Dame rises two spots in the latest AP Top 25 rankings following their victory over Louisville
Notre Dame has reentered the top 15 in the AP Top 25 rankings, moving from No. 16 to No. 14 after defeating No. 15 Louisville, 31-24. The Irish (4-1) have been steadily climbing back up the rankings following a home loss to Northern Illinois that dropped them from No. 5 to No. 18. With a bye week ahead, Notre Dame will face Stanford on Oct. 12. Meanwhile, Alabama reclaimed the No. 1 spot after a win over Georgia, and Indiana is ranked for the first time since 2021.
BIGGEST WINNER: BYU jumped five spots from 22 to 17 after defeating on the road at Baylor to improve to 5-0.
BIGGEST LOSER: Utah fell eight positions, from No. 10 to No. 18, after losing at home to unranked Arizona.
NEWCOMERS: Indiana (number 23) and UNLV (number 25)
DROPPED FROM RANKINGS: Oklahoma State (#20)
