BREAKING: Packers GM Confirms Major Decision After Suspending WR
Though Aaron Rodgers is no longer with the Green Bay Packers, the team still faces some locker room tension. Wide receiver Romeo Doubs has expressed frustration with his limited role and recently decided to sit out a few practices due to concerns over his lack of targets in the passing game.
In response, the Packers have suspended Doubs for their upcoming game against the Los Angeles Rams. Packers GM Brian Gutekunst addressed the situation, expressing disappointment in Doubs’ actions, which he said had negatively affected the team. However, Gutekunst emphasized that Doubs remains a valuable player, and the team looks forward to moving past the issue and welcoming him back next week.
Currently, Doubs ranks third on the team with 20 targets, just two fewer than Dontayvion Wicks and Jayden Reed. Thirteen of those targets came during a loss to the Minnesota Vikings. While Doubs had a breakout season in 2023 with a team-leading 96 targets, the Packers’ recent run-heavy game plans, especially with Jordan Love missing two games due to injury, have reduced his involvement.

Despite his frustrations, there are better ways to address concerns over playing time than by missing practices.
