Jordan Love secured his first win as a starter for the Green Bay Packers in the 2024 NFL season, leading his team to a narrow 24-19 victory on the road against the Los Angeles Rams in Inglewood last Sunday. However, the 25-year-old quarterback faced a setback in the second quarter when he made a critical error. While trying to avoid a safety, Love threw a pass that was intercepted by Rams safety Jaylen McCollough, who promptly returned it four yards for a touchdown, breaking a 7-7 tie and putting the Rams ahead. Fortunately for the Packers, they blocked the extra-point attempt by Rams kicker Joshua Karty.

After the game, Jordan Love reflected on his interception. Via the Associated Press (h/t ESPN), Love said, “The pick, it was a bad decision and it’s tough. But it’s all about how you respond and bounce back.” Love, who went 15-for-26 for 224 yards in his second start since returning from a knee injury, and the Packers did just that, managing to secure the win despite the mistake.

Love found a strong connection with tight end Tucker Kraft, who led the team with 88 receiving yards and two touchdowns on four catches from five targets. Jayden Reed also contributed with four receptions for 78 yards on five targets.

The victory lifted the Packers to a 3-2 record, helping them avoid the NFC North basement, where the Chicago Bears, also at 3-2, currently sit. Next up, the Packers will return to Lambeau Field for a Week 6 matchup against Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals.
