As the college football season heats up with thrilling upsets and notable victories, recruiting continues to unfold. According to On3, a potential commitment flip is on the horizon that could benefit the Crimson Tide. Five-star tight end from Rabun Gap, Georgia, has been committed to North Carolina since March, but On3’s Steve Wiltfong anticipates that he will switch his commitment to Alabama.

With Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class already ranking among the best in the nation, this addition would further bolster their status.

In March, 247Sports’ Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins evaluated Pritchett and praised his skill set, stating, “He’s an athletic tight end prospect with strong ball skills who excels as a two-level pass catcher. He began his prep career as a quarterback before transitioning to tight end.

His size hasn’t been officially verified, but he’s believed to be over 6-foot-4 with a projectable frame. He has a high football IQ, allowing him to exploit zone coverage and has shown competitiveness in catch-and-run situations.

While he has limited in-line experience, he’s a willing blocker on the perimeter and should improve as a lead escort with enhanced play strength. He projects as an F-tight end at the collegiate level, capable of lining up in the wing or slot to create mismatches. Although he may require a year or two of development to refine his physique, he has the potential to make an impact at the Power Four level with his receiving skills.”
