At this stage in the season, the Detroit Lions could use some defensive help, especially since Marcus Davenport is out with an injury. According to Bleacher Report’s NFL research, the natural move would be to acquire Haason Reddick from the New York Jets.

The Lions are in a difficult situation as they face a rough stretch of their schedule. After a good start to the season, Detroit is now facing a series of difficult matches that will test their tenacity and depth. Despite their recent success, there are growing doubts about their ability to sustain momentum against formidable opponents.

Bleacher Report’s NFL Analysis Urges Detroit Lions To Trade For Haason Reddick

At this stage in the season, the Lions are in need of a roster boost. Bleacher Report suggests that acquiring Haason Reddick from the Jets could be the answer. This recommendation reappears from last week since Reddick has yet to make an impact in New York, and Detroit is looking for help on the edge opposite Aidan Hutchinson. Kristopher Knox, in B/R’s NFL Trade Block Big Board, ranked Reddick as the top player available and discussed his potential fit with the Lions.

Arizona Cardinals Still Connected With Top Trade Target

Knox noted, “Reddick would also be a logical trade target for the Lions, who recently lost edge-rusher Marcus Davenport to a biceps injury. Adding Reddick would give Detroit a high-end complement opposite Aidan Hutchinson and would help shore up a defense that showed some vulnerability against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4.”

With Davenport out for the season, the Lions are actively seeking an edge rusher before the trade deadline. Former NFL general manager Jeff Diamond has also indicated that the Lions could be interested in Reddick, who has been absent from the Jets due to contract issues.
