BREAKING: LSU Gymnastics gets massive boost as Key Star decides to return for fifth season
The LSU Gymnastics team is already setting their sights on a back-to-back title as National Champions, and Jay Clark received major news on Monday. Haleigh Bryant, a standout in LSU Gymnastics, revealed she’ll be back for one final season, greatly boosting LSU’s prospects for another National Championship.
Bryant said the following about returning to LSU:
“Gymnastics holds a special place in my heart. It’s been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember, and the thought of ending it just didn’t sit right with me. After Nationals, I convinced myself that it was time to move on. I felt like I had achieved everything I set out to accomplish, both as part of a team and individually. But ultimately, the opportunity to continue was too enticing to ignore.” – Haleigh Bryant

Bryant not only played a pivotal role in securing the team National Championship for her school but also solidified her legacy as one of the sport’s all-time greats by clinching the All-Around individual title. With Bryant’s return alongside the coaching staff, the LSU Gymnastics team is swiftly progressing in their pursuit of another championship.
The Tigers are eagerly anticipating updates on Olivia Dunne’s decision regarding a potential return for another season, as she also has the option to extend her collegiate career by one more year.

The 2023-24 season marked a historic milestone for LSU Gymnastics with their inaugural team national championship, but the program is far from complacent, striving to build upon this success. Retaining their coaching staff, led by Jay Clark, who opted to remain in Baton Rouge rather than returning to his Alma Mater Georgia, signifies the program’s commitment to continuity and progress.
