Braves pitcher Víctor Mederos has announced his engagement, sharing the exciting personal milestone with his partner, Eliana Murgos, on social media.
The announcement comes after a productive season for the young pitcher, who played an important role in Atlanta’s campaign. While the Braves are already looking ahead to their next opportunity to compete for a championship, Mederos has another major reason to celebrate away from the baseball diamond.
Mederos and his partner shared the news on Instagram on Friday, revealing that they had officially become engaged following a special moment on October 31, 2026.
The announcement quickly attracted congratulatory messages from friends, family members and people connected to the Braves community. Several familiar names joined the celebration, expressing their happiness for the couple and wishing them well as they prepare for married life.
For Mederos, it has been a memorable period, combining professional progress with an important development in his personal life.

Mederos Had a Productive 2026 Campaign With Atlanta
The engagement announcement arrives after a season in which Mederos made a positive contribution to the Atlanta Braves.
The right-hander finished the campaign with a 6-1 record and a 3.41 ERA across 30 appearances.
Those numbers made his performances one of the notable developments in Atlanta’s pitching picture during the 2026 season.
Recording six victories while maintaining a 3.41 ERA over 30 games represented a productive campaign for Mederos. His contributions also gave the Braves another option to consider as they continued navigating the demands of a long regular season.
The 30 appearances demonstrated the opportunities he received throughout the campaign, while his 6-1 record reflected the positive results associated with his work.
For a team competing for a division championship and hoping to make another deep postseason run, contributions from pitchers throughout the roster can make a significant difference.
Atlanta had several reasons to be encouraged by its overall regular-season performance, and Mederos’ campaign was among the developments worth highlighting.
His numbers also give him something to build on as he prepares for the next stage of his professional career.
Braves End 2026 Season in the NLDS
While Mederos has plenty to celebrate personally, the Braves will have to spend the offseason reflecting on how their 2026 campaign ended.
Atlanta’s season officially came to a close on October 7, when the team suffered a Game 4 defeat against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Division Series.
The loss ended the Braves’ postseason hopes and sent the organization into its offseason earlier than it would have wanted.
Despite that disappointing conclusion, Atlanta had delivered an impressive regular season.
The Braves finished with a 94-68 record over 162 games, securing the National League East title.
Winning 94 games demonstrated the team’s ability to remain competitive throughout the regular season and establish itself as one of the leading clubs in its division.
The National League East championship was another achievement for an organization that has consistently maintained high expectations.
However, regular-season success does not automatically translate into postseason advancement. The Braves discovered that again when their series against Los Angeles ended after four games.
The Dodgers proved to be the obstacle Atlanta could not overcome, bringing the Braves’ championship ambitions to an end.
Now, the organization must turn its attention toward the offseason, where roster decisions and preparations for another competitive campaign will become priorities.
For Mederos, however, the conclusion of the baseball season has provided an opportunity to enjoy some personal celebrations.
Atlanta Continues to Chase Another World Series Championship
The Braves entered the 2026 season with expectations associated with an organization that has enjoyed considerable success in recent years.
Their most recent World Series championship came in 2021, when Atlanta defeated the Houston Astros to capture the title.
That championship remains an important achievement in the franchise’s recent history and a reminder of what the organization is capable of accomplishing.
Since then, the Braves have continued pursuing opportunities to return to the top of Major League Baseball.
Their 2026 National League East championship showed that the team remained capable of putting together a strong regular season. However, the defeat against the Dodgers meant another opportunity to compete for the World Series ended before the Braves could reach the National League Championship Series.
The offseason will give Atlanta an opportunity to assess its performances, evaluate its roster and determine what adjustments may be necessary.
Pitching depth will remain an area worth monitoring, particularly as teams look for ways to remain competitive over a demanding 162-game schedule.
Mederos’ 2026 performance could give the Braves another encouraging option to consider moving forward.
His 6-1 record and 3.41 ERA across 30 appearances provide a positive foundation, although his future role and responsibilities will depend on the organization’s plans.
For now, the pitcher can enjoy his engagement and the support he has received from those celebrating alongside him.
A Memorable Offseason for Víctor Mederos
The end of Atlanta’s postseason run was undoubtedly disappointing for players and supporters who hoped to see the team compete for another championship.
Nevertheless, the offseason has already brought Mederos an unforgettable personal moment.
After recording a 6-1 record and a 3.41 ERA during the regular season, the Braves pitcher now has another milestone to look forward to as he prepares for the future.
His engagement announcement has received an overwhelmingly positive response from people in his circle, with congratulatory messages filling the comments section of the Instagram post.
Murgos’ emotional message also offered a glimpse into the significance of the occasion for the couple, particularly her excitement about becoming Mederos’ wife.
While the Braves will eventually shift their attention toward preparing for the 2027 campaign, Mederos has plenty to celebrate before returning to baseball activities.
For the pitcher and his partner, October 31, 2026, will remain a special date.
Congratulations to Víctor Mederos and Eliana Murgos on their engagement!
