BREAKING: Aggies add two SEC DL from the transfer portal
Texas A&M bolstered its defensive line depth in a big way on Monday, landing two key transfers from SEC rivals—Georgia’s Sam M’Pemba and Florida’s T.J. Searcy.
M’Pemba, ranked as the No. 318 player in the transfer portal and the No. 35 Edge by 247Sports, brings three years of eligibility to the Aggies. During his time at Georgia, he appeared in 15 games over two seasons.
Searcy, ranked as the No. 92 overall player and the No. 12 Edge in the portal, has been a productive contributor for Florida. Over the past two seasons, he played in 12 games each year, accumulating 60 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
These additions bring Texas A&M’s transfer portal commits to nine for this cycle, with the class currently ranked No. 6 nationally.
