Done Deal: Lakers Confirms The Signing Of Highly Rated Guard And Center Ahead of Training Camp
The Los Angeles Lakers have spent the whole offseason irritating their fans by doing nothing. While all of the impactful free players signed elsewhere and the trade market dried up, general manager Rob Pelinka and the front staff sat about doing nothing. Now, the Lakers are likely to reassemble the same club that lost in the first round of the playoffs for another run.
However, tiny moves are still being made. Despite the fact that all 15 roster places are already filled, the Lakers are looking for value on the fringes. Nonetheless, they signed centre Kylor Kelley and guard Quincy Olivari to Exhibit 10 contracts to have a better look at them.

An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, non-guaranteed deal that gives players a chance to earn a spot on an NBA team or its G League affiliate. Kelley and Olivari will participate in training camp and preseason to vie for a position on the main roster.
Olivari, who recently completed his fifth year of college basketball at Xavier, started all 34 games last season and averaged 19.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.4 steals per game, shooting 42.5% from the field and an impressive 40.9% from three-point range. Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 190 pounds, Olivari is considered undersized and will need to maintain his high three-point shooting percentage to secure an NBA career.
Kelley, a seven-footer, has played in the G League for the past few seasons, including with the Maine Celtics. He led the league in blocks last season and was named to the All-Defensive team. At 26 years old, he may not have the highest potential, but he could potentially fill a spot on the 15-man roster if he performs well during training camp, possibly replacing Christian Wood or Jaxson Hayes.
