The Texas Rangers have been scorching hot since the All-Star break, but there’s still a long road ahead.

Calling the 2025 season a roller coaster for the Rangers might not even do it justice, considering the turbulence they’ve endured. At one point, it seemed all but certain that the front office would pivot to a seller’s mindset at the trade deadline, shifting focus toward the future.

Rangers roll with the punches, bounce back with gutsy win against division rival Mariners

Since the All-Star break, the Rangers have gone 10-5, tied with the Guardians for the best record in the American League during that span. That surge has thrust them right back into the AL West race.

This recent turnaround has drawn comparisons to the Rangers’ 2023 season, when they similarly stumbled through the early months before catching fire in the second half en route to a championship run.

However, as encouraging as the parallels may be, this year’s squad still has plenty of work to do. Texas remains in third place in the division standings and sits one game behind the final Wild Card spot.

In other words, the recent upswing has been critical—but it won’t mean much unless the Rangers can maintain this level of play through the remainder of the season.

If they hope to recapture the magic of 2023, the grind has only just begun.
